This was such a sweet wedding. The precious couple and their families, making things official. This wedding was stripped down to the goodness of it all. It allowed for so many intimate moments that might otherwise have been missed.
And the whole family was just so kind.
After spending (sometimes 8+) hours with them on one of the most important days of their lives, the tears between Mom and her baby girl standing in a white gown, being the only other person in the room with the bride and the groom the first time they see each other on their wedding day, standing close enough to hear them recite their vows while the guests in the back can only hear the minister, that’s big stuff people and I can’t help but feel a connection with these lovely couples that invite me to be a part of these moments. I somewhat got off on a tangent there, but what I’m really trying to say is I love when the family extends themselves to me, allowing me to truly celebrate with them.
This was just a really wonderful union of two great families and I was so happy to be a part of it.

This Wedding. So many beautiful things fell perfectly into place on this sweet day. First of all, the couple. I didn’t get a chance to meet Ryan up until the week of their wedding, but you can tell upon first impression what a genuine, thoughtful, considerate person he is. And the way he looks at Lea. It gave me chills. She is the most down to earth, loving, girl and So. Much. Fun. to be around. Not exaggerating one bit. The most boring of tasks, she’ll have you rolling in laughter. I’ve never met someone quite like her and I don’t think I ever will again. She is truly an irreplaceable friend and to hear all of her bridesmaids talking, and crying, over the kind heart of this beautiful girl was a testament of the kind of person she is. I really can’t say enough good things about her. I was over the moon to be a part of her wedding.
Oh and speaking of that whole down to earth thing, there were MAJOR storms supposedly coming through starting, oh about the time her wedding started. Perfect, right?! Despite planning a beautiful beach wedding for months, she was now having to consider having everything, pictures, ceremony, and reception, all relocated indoors. Total opposite of the original plans. And it didn’t shake this girl. I overheard her saying that she’s not letting it ruin her day and she carried on just as happy as can be, not once getting upset. Turns out we didn’t get a single drop of rain the entire day! The radar showed a huge storm, just hovering in an area right south of where we were all day long. It never moved. I have been singing Mother Nature’s praises since then because if there were ever a time for her to pull through, this was it!

It’s a shame babies can’t comprehend the amount of pure happiness they’re sleepy, little selves can bring to the world, even before they enter it. Momma, Grandma, and I teared up on more than one occasion throughout Rhett’s session, for no reason other than him being here. It was quite a beautiful afternoon.
