Brittany | Senior

Oh Brittany. Brittany. Brittany.  This girl.  Let me tell you how much I loved this senior session. Brittany knew exactly the look that she wanted from her shoot and fortunately, girlfriend and I were seeing eye to eye.  After the first 10 minutes of nervousness, she was totally rocking this session.

I think my favorite thing about senior sessions is seeing these beautiful, young, girls at such a vulnerable age go from nervous, cutesy smiles to this gorgeous young woman just owning it.  I literally watched this girl blossom in front of my camera.   I saw that moment where she. was. beautiful. What a powerful thing.

Morgan + Blake | Engagement

Morgan and Blake.  So gorgeous. A total dream to work with.  From the get go, I knew they’d be amazing in front of the camera.  I told them where to stand and to give me a second so that I can get my settings and then I looked up and started shooting.  They were talking and kissing and totally engaging.

Throughout the remainder of their session, that’s what they did.  They kept asking me, “Should we be doing something?” or  asking me, “How should we stand?”, but I couldn’t have posed them any better.  They made it so easy to do what I aspire to do with every shoot.  Document Love.  They were genuine and passionate and in love and photographing that makes me feel like I’m flying.  Needless to say, I’m in love with these photos and the couple.

Addison | Family

I feel like I lucked into a lot of these shots, as Addison has figured out how to ‘fake smile’ by showing her teeth and squinting her eyes.  While it’s adorable, we all know the real smiles are what we’re really after.  Fortunately, her Daddy is pretty funny. And what fashion sense the girl’s got.

Kelsey + Louis | Family

Besides being so stinking cute, Louis is one of the coolest dogs I know.  He seriously thinks he is a furrier than normal human.  But probably more well behaved. And be on the lookout for more of Kelsey and her awesomeness.  She is a talented graphic design artist with a creative mind to back it and I can’t wait to share more about her.

Sloan + Tyler | Family

This is one of my favorite kind of sessions.  Total documentary.  I literally walked into their home before the sun was even up and captured their morning as a family.  Sloan and Tyler’s parents were wanting to capture some of the baby goodness that Tyler had to offer before it disappears all too quickly with time.  Sloan came downstairs in her cupcake jammies and kept me well entertained until it was time for Tyler to wake up. What a flirt he is in the morning!  And Sloan, a personality as big as the sky.  I can only hope for more sessions with this seriously gorgeous family.  It’s always great when I walk away from a session feeling like I got an ab workout from laughing so much!
