Love this little girls strong personality. She turned 3 this week and is little Miss Independent! I had so much fun chasing her around the park, trying to convince her to show me those pretty blue eyes!
Bailey Girl! I’m kind of biased to this lovely one’s photos as she is a cousin of mine! Therefore, she is awesome. :) She made the super long drive up from Stephenville, TX so that I could do her senior portraits. While I think she looks beautiful in the photos, she may be looking a little too beautiful in some of them. That little 4 year old princess with the long, wavy hair jumps out of one picture. And then Bam! The next one is 17 years of grown-up beauty! I loved getting to see you and spend time with you, Bailey! Can’t wait to see all that you conquer in life!
This precious little guy was so amazing for his shoot. He was wide awake when he arrived, but with a little rocking, he was quickly out like a light for the remainder of the session. He let us dress him up in hats and bow ties and pose him as we pleased and slept like a champ the whole time. What a gentleman!
Little Ellie was such a little doll for her 3 month photos. Mama sure makes her happy despite chilly temps during what’s supposed to be warm, sunny, spring. I try not to be ‘anti’ anything, but cold weather and I just don’t get along. You won’t find me complaining of the hot summer days because I’d much prefer that over frigid ones. I can definitely appreciate the Winter season for all of the good it brings, but come March I am ready to part ways with Old Man Winter and move on to sunny skies and bare feet!
I’m getting off track though. It was hard to dress Ellie for her spring themed shoot, but we managed to find something that kept her warm but didn’t look warm, if that makes sense. I think she felt fabulous in her little outfit!
I am so excited to be able to offer my clients what I feel to be such an extension of not only my brand, but my own personal sense of style. I’ve never personally owned canvas prints because I just never felt like they fit within the rest of the style in my house. Not to say that canvas prints aren’t an amazing way to display your favorite photos. They totally are, but for my home, a large print with a cool frame just seemed to fit better. But that has all changed. If you were to ever come to my home, you might catch on to the fact that I have a more rustic sense of design. Besides the common naturally stained wood trim, doors, and floors that we put in, I even have a couple of wood walls, a wood ceiling, and can think of about 7 different areas in my home that are donned in sticks and fence posts that I’ve found on walks through our neighborhood. Heck, I even put wood grain on my business cards and website.
Needless to say, I love the natural look that wood can bring to a room as a decorative piece and am so excited to share this product with you. These are somewhat like a canvas, except your photo is printed on wood. As every piece and photo is different, they are all very unique. You can see in the photos that the wood grain showing through is somewhat subtle, but enough to give an interesting touch to it.
If your a past client interested in ordering one or two of these beauties from your own gallery or a potential future client ready to book your session so that you can have one of these for the walls of your home, please shoot me an email at hello@avenue-photography.
